Facilities Assistant -Cleaning

As a Cleaner, you will carry out a full range of cleaning duties across teaching spaces, offices and communal areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Your responsibilities will include: . Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing) . Cleaning internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities . Emptying bins and removing waste safely . Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling . Replenishing hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls) . Conducting routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance . Reporting damage, faults or concerns promptly . Locking and unlocking school premises and ensuring site security . Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times, Contribute directly to a safe learning environment for young people . Access to relevant training and development opportunities . We currently have 2 fixed term roles available until 1st April 2027, working 10 hours per week, 43 weeks per year based at Joseph Norton Academy, Busker Lane, Scissett, Huddersfield, HD8 9JU
