Full Job Description
We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our Stoke & Staffs Fire & Rescue team based in Stoke-on-Trent., This is a fantastic opportunity to join our supportive team in a role that combines finance administration with facilities management. As a Facilities Assistant, you'll play a vital part in ensuring smooth financial operations for the Stoke & Staffordshire Fire and Rescue PFI contract. What will you be responsible for?
As a Facilities Assistant, you'll be working within the Stoke & Staffs Fire & Rescue team, supporting them in delivering high-quality finance administration for the contract. Your day to day will include:
-Managing Work In Progress financial trackers and raising purchase orders to maintain accurate budget oversight
-Coordinating lifecycle requests and damage trackers, ensuring timely invoicing to the Authority
-Supporting the Contracts Manager to maximise cashflow and minimise debt through effective financial monitoring
-Liaising with the Supply Chain and central Finance team to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
-Maintaining quality systems and promoting an inclusive workplace culture within the team
You have previous experience working within the PFI industry and understand the contractual requirements
-You hold a Full driving licence and are comfortable travelling between sites
-You bring at least two years' experience in a similar finance administration or facilities role
-You have strong knowledge of building maintenance and general facilities management
-You're collaborative, trustworthy, and focused in your approach, with the flexibility to work occasional out-of-hours in emergencies, Disability Confident
