Full Job Description
The Facilities Management (FM) Team provides support to a wide range of buildings, and to staff working within them, across all partner agencies, ranging from fully FM managed buildings to drop-in sites throughout the County of Hampshire. Confident and dependable, you will have some experience in a similar role. You will be able to work efficiently as part of a team and demonstrate real commitment to customer service. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to deal with a wide range of situations in a positive and professional manner. Working hours are 13:00-21:00 Monday to Thursday and 13:30-21:00 on Friday. You will also work 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:00-16:00. What you'll do: General
- Provide excellent 'Front of House 'customer service in the delivery of a range of services across sites in which you are required to work.
- Communicate to staff, contractors and members of the public in a professional manner in person, over the phone and via email.
- Flexible individual with the ability to work across different Facilities Management Teams as required. Health & Safety
- Complete statutory compliance checks including Fire Safety, Legionella and First Aid.
- Work equipment safety checks.
- Identifying, reporting and resolving hazards where possible. Security
- Full security checks of buildings during locking and unlocking.
- Setting of alarms and investigating alarm activations.
- Provide support to potentially sensitive or contentious meetings open to the public. Maintenance
- Odd jobs, handyperson tasks, including; decoration works, putting up signs or pictures and minor repairs.
- Be point of contact for staff to raise maintenance queries and fault reporting.
- Manage contractors attendance including permit to work and asbestos management. Other Duties
- Managing goods in and out, including parcels and supplies.
- Regular grounds maintenance.

We're looking for someone who can confidently meet the physical moving and handling demands of the role, use their own initiative, work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues and customers. You should bring strong customer awareness, a positive attitude and the flexibility to adapt your working pattern at short notice when needed. It would be beneficial if you have training in First Aid, Moving and Handling or COSHH, as well as customer service experience or previous experience in a similar role.
