Full Job Description

  • Perform a friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting and waiting on all guests
  • Understand and follow the sequence of service standards.
  • Understand the menus and all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation, and appropriate style of service.
  • Ensure usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools, and service equipment.
  • Utilize the POS system.
  • Observe and maintain the daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in the restaurant, and public area and make recommendations for corrections and improvement as needed.
  • Flexible to work closely with our Bar and Restaurant Teams.

    Good knowledge of food and beverage trends in service and culinary experience.
  • Experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant or luxury 5 hotel.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, highly adaptable, naturally positive.
  • Good communication skills, flexibility, and capability of working under pressure.

This role will support creating a memorable experience to our guests. Occupying an exclusive area of the rooftop, The Tasting Room cigar lounge offers an elegant and relaxed space for the enjoyment of finely curated cigars. The walk-in humidor, along with a collection of rare top-shelf whiskies, is overseen by Master of Havana Cigars Manu Harit. Patrons can also rent private climate-controlled lockers for storing their cigar purchases. Like the adjacent Brooklands restaurant and bar - with which it shares a dedicated elevator - The Tasting Room takes design inspiration from the world of fine motorcars. Its mahogany-panelled sitting room incorporates design elements of The Delage 155B, a luxury French race car that won the first Grand Prix at Brooklands in 1926. The lounge and attached terrace also afford truly breath-taking panoramic views over Hyde Park and the surrounding cityscape.
