Full Job Description

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Whitefield is seeking a caring and dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage who have a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), developmental delays, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The school provides a nurturing, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider multidisciplinary team to provide personalised support that enables children to access learning, develop social skills and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities

Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs within the EYFS setting.

Supporting children's communication, language, social and emotional development through structured activities and play-based learning.

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Early Years or an equivalent qualification.
