Job Description
Position Summary: This position is in the Export Customer Service Team based on our site in Loughborough. We supply our customers across Europe, Middle East and Africa with a huge range of scientific products and services.
Day to day responsibility for Export customers for allocated areas, duties including preparing documentation for shipments worldwide, filing and general shipping administration, meeting of deadlines for shipments and general resolution of customer enquiries, both verbal & written from a shipping perspective; handling of TPM and due diligence of customers.
We are looking for someone who:
- Works alongside Export sales team to provide exceptional shipping & administration support for customers in the EEMEA region.
- Handles and responds to all types of shipping and administration issues, including shipping documentation, hazardous paperwork and general enquiries that can be complex in nature, whilst aspiring to exceed Individual/Departmental/Company critical metrics and thoughtfully balancing customer needs with business demands.
- Rigorously adheres to customs & export compliance regulations.
- Is highly skilled in promoting a positive corporate reputation.
- Maintains composure even when faced with the most difficult or challenging situations and has the ability to navigate through organizational boundaries.
- Is flexible with working hours to meet business needs.
- Effectively performs duties whilst acting at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria
- History of strong export shipping skills with hazardous goods.
- Strong self-motivated individual who functions well in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment with minimal supervision, managing and prioritizing high volumes of work.
- Open and clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in organising and prioritizing workloads.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of IATA/IMDG regulations would be an advantage.
- Experienced at working in a pressured environment.
- Minimum 2 A-levels or equivalent (in a Science subject and English - desirable but not crucial).
- Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Word/Excel.
