Full Job Description
To provide high-quality, evidence-based, family-centred nursing care to infants, children and young people requiring enhanced care within a Paediatric High Dependency Unit (HDU) / Level II Critical Care environment. The post holder will work as an experienced Band 5 practitioner, demonstrating a high level of clinical competence, professional accountability and confidence in caring for children with complex and acute healthcare needs. They will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes. Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.,
- Provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to children requiring Level II critical care / HDU support.
- Undertake comprehensive assessment of the acutely unwell or deteriorating child and recognise changes in clinical condition promptly.
- Demonstrate competence in the management of children requiring enhanced respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological monitoring and support.
