Full Job Description

  • Case Leadership: Manage and oversee complex child protection and children in need cases, ensuring timely interventions and high-quality outcomes.
  • Supervision and Mentoring: Provide guidance, supervision, and professional support to social workers and junior staff within the CP/CIN team.
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, develop robust care plans, and ensure they are effectively implemented.
  • Safeguarding Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with statutory safeguarding legislation, local policies, and best practice standards.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with education, health, law enforcement, and other partners to deliver coordinated and effective services.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to the ongoing training and development of the team by sharing knowledge, leading reflective practice, and promoting a culture of learning.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain accurate case records, produce reports, and present findings to senior management and external agencies as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the development and implementation of innovative practices and service improvements within the team.
