Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic lead to provide senior professional leadership for the health contribution to Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This is a pivotal senior safeguarding role, responsible for leading and coordinating timely, proportionate and high quality health input into multiagency safeguarding decision making. The postholder will work within co located multiagency environments, providing expert clinical oversight, professional challenge and strategic influence, to safeguard children effectively. The health lead for MASH will also contribute to the wider strategic safeguarding agenda, supporting strong multiagency arrangements and continuous service improvement. Main duties of the job This role will provide visible safeguarding leadership for the health contribution within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH) across Hampshire and Isle of Wight footprint. You will play a key role in driving improvement and influencing change within complex multiagency system, ensuring high quality, timely health input supports effective, child centred decision making. Working closely with partners across our four local authorities, including Children's Social Care, Police, Education and Early Help, you will strengthen multiagency collaboration, promote consistent thresholds and model confident professional challenge where require. You will support the development of effective MASH processes, improving information sharing, risk analysis and decision making across the system. You will provide expert safeguarding advice on complex cases, supporting staff to understand risk, vulnerability and cumulative harm, and ensuring appropriate escalation and outcomes. A key part of the role will be leading quality improvement through audit, performance monitoring and embedding learning from reviews. You will contribute to workforce development through training and guidance and support the development of policies and practice aligned to local and national safeguarding priorities., Further information about the Trust and this role can be found on the Job Description and Person Specification document attached.
