Full Job Description

Our service plays an important role in supporting patients from the inpatient rehabilitation wards, individuals under MSK Outpatient services, those continuing with falls-prevention programmes, as well as hospital staff and the general public. This creates a varied, rewarding working environment where exercise support contributes to rehabilitation, wellbeing and community health.
We are seeking enthusiastic Exercise Facilitator/ Fitness Instructors/ Personal Trainer with strong communication skills and experience working in a gym or exercise-led environment. The role includes delivering safe and supervised sessions, supporting user inductions, assisting with progression of exercise programmes, and contributing to the day-to-day running of a busy rehabilitation-focused facility., The purpose of the Exercise Facilitator is to co-ordinate the running of the Bader gym and supervise the 3 Fitness Instructors as well as assessing clients' fitness needs and design suitable exercise programmes for them. You will oversee the daily running of the Bader gym; advise clients regarding the use of the equipment; monitor and ensure safe practice in the use of the facilities and be involved with running group exercise classes.

This position is well-suited to individuals with Level 2/3 fitness industry qualifications and practical experience in exercise instruction. While you will work closely with clinical teams, this is not a physiotherapy or clinically banded post, but rather an opportunity for those passionate about inclusive exercise, functional fitness, and supporting diverse user groups., The successful candidate will have a recognised gym instructor qualification with significant experience within a gym environment; have excellent communication skills and a professional manner. You will have patience and understanding of the needs of others and enjoy working with a variety of people including disabled users.
If you want to make a positive impact through accessible, supportive exercise delivery and enjoy working in a community-centred gym environment, we welcome your application.
