We're now looking for an ESG Specialist to join us on a 12-13 month maternity cover, supporting the delivery of our ESG commitments across the UK and Europe. The opportunity This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with colleagues across the business, senior stakeholders and external partners to turn ESG ambition into action. You'll play a key role in data-driven decision-making, regulatory readiness and continuous improvement across our environmental and wider ESG agenda. What you'll be doing

• Supporting the delivery of Cox Automotive Europe's ESG strategy and action plans
• Driving carbon reduction initiatives with business units across the UK and EU
• Engaging suppliers to improve Scope 3 emissions data collection and quality
• Collecting, validating and analysing GHG emissions data across Scopes 1, 2 and 3
• Tracking ESG targets and KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
• Supporting ESG questionnaires, ratings, tenders and customer information requests
• Monitoring ESG legislation, standards and frameworks (e.g. CSRD, SECR, GHG Protocol) and highlighting business impacts
• Working cross-functionally through the Sustainability ERG to embed best practice
• Maintaining robust documentation, controls and audit-ready evidence, Join a global leader with a genuine commitment to sustainability and responsible business

Contract details
• 12-month fixed-term maternity cover
• No line management or budget responsibility

  Experience in environmental sustainability, ESG or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with confidence handling qualitative and quantitative data
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while building effective stakeholder relationships
Desirable
• Experience within automotive, financial services, technology or regulated environments
• Experience engaging with external stakeholders such as suppliers or customers
