Due to retirement, we are now seeking a nursing and midwifery leader with board level or equivalent experience, to join us as our new Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery. A key member of our Board, you will bring professional credibility, visible, values-led leadership, and an unwavering focus on patient safety and quality. You will play a central role in strengthening clinical governance, championing compassionate care, elevating patient experience, improving productivity and building a confident, empowered nursing and midwifery workforce. Working collaboratively with colleagues across our diverse organisation and our wider health and care system, you will bring the vision to drive transformation at scale.

Particular key responsibilities will be:
+ As an Executive Director of the Board, ensure that the Board can deliver the agreed strategic ambitions and objectives and to work as a member of the unitary board.
+ To provide strong and visible professional leadership and ensure the statutory regulation and supervision for all Nurses, Midwives and Specialist Community Public Health Nurses and to those staff groups to whom aspects of nursing care are delegated, such as Healthcare Support Workers, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients and the highest professional standards from the professions.
+ Provide executive leadership for an integrated system of clinical governance and quality, ensuring robust policies, processes, reporting and assurance mechanisms are in place to meet statutory, professional and organisational requirements. Promote a culture where quality, safety and continuous learning are embedded across services.
