Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and discreet Executive Assistant to support the Lord Lieutenant and The Lieutenancy office in delivering a wide range of ceremonial, civic and community engagement duties across the county. WHAT IS INVOLVED? This unique role requires exceptional administrative skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, alongside strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Working closely with a diverse network of partners, volunteers and public bodies, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating official visits, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the Lieutenancy. Duties include:
- Coordinating official visits, events, and engagements with precision and professionalism
- Managing complex diaries and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all administrative processes run smoothly
- Liaising with partners across public bodies, voluntary organisations, community groups, and local leaders
- Acting as a trusted point of contact, demonstrating diplomacy, confidentiality, and exceptional communication skills You'll collaborate with a wide network of volunteers, civic leaders, community organisations, and public sector partners, helping the Lieutenancy deliver meaningful engagement across the county.
- Outstanding organisational and administrative capability
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A calm, professional manner and absolute discretion
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and diverse community groups
- A NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
