Executive Advisor (Policy & Research - Band 1) £39,274 - £50,496 (pro rata)
This is a senior, high-impact role, particularly supporting my work as Chair of the Public Accounts and Public Administration Committee.
You'll lead on policy, research and scrutiny, helping ensure strong oversight of public spending and public administration in Wales.
Key responsibilities:Lead in-depth policy research and analysisSupport committee inquiries, scrutiny, and reportingDraft speeches, questions, and policy papersProvide strategic advice on complex issuesEngage with senior stakeholders across government and beyondSupport communications and media workOversee and support junior staff
We're looking for someone who:Has experience in policy, research, or parliamentary settingsCan quickly analyse complex information and identify key issuesHas excellent communication and drafting skillsBrings strong judgement and political awarenessThrives in a fast-paced, high-profile environment
