Examination Invigilator

· To ensure the fair and proper conduct of examinations in an environment that enables a pupil to perform at their best.

· To support the Data and Exam Manager with the day-to-day operation of exam venues.

· Assisting with setting up exam venues by laying out stationery, equipment and exam papers in accordance with strict procedures.

· Closely following and enforcing exam procedures and regulations.

· Assist pupils before the exam starts by directing them to their seats and advising them about possessions permitted in the venue.

· Ensure that pupils do not talk once inside the exam venue.

· Invigilate during exams, dealing with queries raised by pupils and exam irregularities in accordance with procedures.

· Check attendance during exams.

· Record details of late arrivals and early leavers and collect their paper.

· Escort pupils from venues during the exam as required and supervise pupils outside exam venue.

· Escort pupils on toilet breaks to ensure no unauthorised material is consulted and that exam regulations are observed at all times.

· Collect and deliver all papers at the end of the exam in accordance with strict procedures.

· Supervise pupils leaving exam venues, ensuring that no-one removes equipment or stationery from the venue without authorisation.

· Ensure that candidates leave the venue in a quiet and orderly manner.
