Exam Invigilation

To ensure that examinations are conducted according to the regulations to:

• Ensure all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities
• Ensure the security of the examination materials before, during and after the examination
• Prevent possible candidate malpractice
• Prevent possible administrative failures
General requirements
• Experience is not required, as training will be provided, although applicants will be asked to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them
• Effective communication skills
• Invigilators must confirm the confidentiality and security requirements surrounding the invigilation process are known, understood and will be followed at all times
• To provide a minimum of 6 AM or PM sessions availability per week, within the public and mock exam series.

  Morning session is from 8 am to 11 am
• Afternoon session is from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm
• Paid at £15.44 per hour including holiday pay
• A full day session is from 8 am to 3.30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break and a short break within the morning and afternoon sessions
• Sessions may extend past the above times, depending on the exam timetable. 3 hours is the minimum you will be paid for and time worked over 3 hours will be paid to the next nearest 15 minutes.
• A free lunch and free parking on site is available to all invigilators.
