Full Job Description

Contract: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks)

This is an opportunity to play an important role in ensuring students receive the support they need to demonstrate their abilities and achieve their potential.

Working closely with our SENDCo, you will help coordinate exam access arrangements for students across New College Pontefract. You will liaise with students, families, schools and colleagues to identify individual needs, gather supporting evidence and ensure appropriate arrangements and resources are in place. You will also maintain accurate records, prepare documentation in line with JCQ requirements and work closely with our Exams Team to help examinations run smoothly.

The role requires a high level of organisation and attention to detail, but it is also very much about people. You will be supporting young people who may need additional help to access assessments fairly and confidently, making this a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants their work to have a direct impact on students' educational experience.

About you

You will have previous experience of organising access arrangements in line with JCQ requirements, alongside a good understanding of SEND and the circumstances in which access arrangements may be granted. You will be confident maintaining detailed records, liaising with a range of stakeholders and keeping up to date with changes to JCQ procedures.

Highly organised and a strong communicator, you will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Just as importantly, you will bring a supportive and empathetic approach when working with students and colleagues, together with a genuine commitment to student welfare, achievement and improving young people's life chances.

Why join New College Pontefract?
