Events and Programmes Officer

The Events and Programmes Officer plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery and promotion of our varied and dynamic training and events programme, helping to ensure that events run smoothly, reach the right audiences and provide a high-quality experience for everyone involved.

Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) works on behalf of the more than one in four children across the UK who are growing up in poverty. Drawing on our expertise in the causes of poverty and its impact on children's lives, we campaign for policies that prevent and tackle child poverty for good.
A key part of our work is ensuring that advisers have the knowledge, skills and resources they need to help low-income families access the financial support they are entitled to. We produce and publish sector-leading resources and deliver a comprehensive training programme that responds to the latest developments and challenges within the social security system.
Our training covers a wide range of topics, from income maximisation for older people to mental health and benefits, reaching thousands of advisers each year.

Events are delivered both online and in person, ranging from interactive Zoom courses for smaller groups to large-scale conferences and online seminars attended by hundreds of advisers.
The Events team also supports colleagues across the wider charity in developing and delivering their events programmes, with a number of exciting developments planned for the year ahead.
