Events Officer

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Events Officer to join our Culture and Tourism Service at an exciting time of growth and ambition. This is a key role within the team, offering the opportunity to shape, develop and deliver an inspiring programme of festivals and events that celebrate creativity, culture and place. About the role You will:

• Contribute to the planning, development and delivery of an annual programme of outdoor events and festivals
• Play a central role in creative programming that engages communities and attracts visitors
• Ensure high standards of event production, including health and safety, risk management and operational delivery
• Work collaboratively with partners, artists, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver impactful events
• Contribute to the continued growth and profile of culture and tourism across the borough
  
  We are looking for a highly motivated individual who:
• Has proven experience of developing and delivering outdoor events and festivals
• Brings strong sector knowledge and a track record in event production
• Is confident managing health and safety, compliance and operational logistics
• Values partnership working and delivers creative, high-quality outcomes
• Is positive, forward-thinking and passionate about culture and place-making
• Flexibility occasional week nights and weekends, where appropiate
