Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. There is an opportunity for a student to work as Events Assistant on an upcoming event, a one-day Symposium to be held at Brooks Building on 25th June, titled 'Towards a Sociology of Health and Illness with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Communities'. The event will involve academics, organisations and community members, to share research, develop conceptual and methodological innovations, and build networks for future collaboration. In doing so, it seeks to establish a foundation for sustained sociological engagement with the health and illness experiences of GRT communities.   • 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM | Eventbrite
  • Duties may include:
  • Assist in all pre-event preparation
  • Assist with the delivery of events
  • Assist with the branding of events
  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers
  • Respond to event enquiries via phone and email
  • General administration duties
  • Support with technology during the event
  • Support with photography
  • Support with social media
