The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. We are seeking eight proactive and professional Events Assistants to support the upcoming Professional Services Leadership Conference. This flagship event brings together senior leaders from across the University for a day of strategic planning, networking, and professional development. As an Events Assistant, you will be the face of the event, ensuring a seamless experience for senior leaders from across the University. Why Apply? CV Enhancement: Demonstrate experience in corporate event logistics and professional communication. Paid Training: Receive a comprehensive, paid briefing session to ensure you feel confident and prepared for the day. You will be required: For compulsory paid training on 9 July 2026 at 10:00- 11:00 at the Business School Reception The event duration on 10 July 2026 08:00-16:45 at the Dalton Building Your role is vital to the smooth execution of the conference. Duties include:
- Executive Welcoming: Supporting the registration desk and providing a warm, professional first point of contact for senior delegates.
- Wayfinding & Logistics: Confidently "sign-posting" staff to relevant spaces and ensuring the flow of the event remains on schedule.
- Operational Support: Assisting with and providing ad hoc support to the event coordination team.
- Strategic Engagement: Acting as a helpful representative of the student body while interacting with University leadership.
- Compulsory Training/Brief: Complete the compulsory paid training session. Duties may include:
- Assist in some pre-event preparation on the day.
- Direct on-the-day delegate queries to the conference team.

- Based in the UK (and be available in person) for the duration of the role.
- Available for the dates of the event and the compulsory (paid) training session.
- Demonstrates a professional approach, with a polite, friendly, and confident manner
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to arrive on time for both training and event shifts
- Strong communication skills, able to give clear directions and respond to queries effectively
- Willing to complete compulsory paid training prior to the event
- Experience in front-of-house roles such as hospitality, reception, or customer service is desirable
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, with an understanding of live event operations and logistics
