Full Job Description
The Nelson Trust is a charity dedicated to supporting people affected by addiction, trauma, homelessness and multiple disadvantages to achieve positive and lasting change., We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Evening Driver to join our Residential Services team in Brimscombe. This is a rewarding role where you will play an important part in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, providing safe transport, practical assistance and helping clients engage with vital health and support services.
Salary: £24,500 pro rata
Hours: 16 hours per week, with flexibility to work outside normal hours as required
Location: Brimscombe, Stroud
What will you do?
Safely transport clients to and from appointments, including collecting prescriptions
Support clients to attend GP, hospital and other off-site appointments
Meet, greet and welcome new clients to the residential service
Build positive relationships with clients that encourage engagement and recovery
Carry out regular vehicle safety checks and maintain accurate mileage records
Provide practical support and crisis intervention where appropriate
