Lead the preparation of complex, high-value tenders from first principles
Present estimates confidently in bid reviews and senior forums
Manage estimating strategy, risk, and commercial positioning
Mentor and support Estimators within the team
Engage with clients, consultants, and senior internal stakeholders
Contribute to the ongoing development of estimating processes and standards

Wates Smartspace is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator who can operate confidently in a high-energy environment with strong personalities and senior stakeholders. This role is for a proven senior estimator who is ready to step up-with the potential to grow into running an estimating function in the future, but who is not currently leading a department.
Significant experience operating as a Senior Estimator within fit-out, refurbishment, or construction
High level of technical and commercial competence
Strong personality with the credibility to influence senior decision-makers
Proven ability to present effectively and hold the room
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Ambition to step up into estimating leadership in the medium term
