Estimating Team Leader

Job Overview

• Manage the end-to-end estimating process for all quote requests received from engineers, operations teams, and direct client enquiries.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, competitively priced, and issued within agreed turnaround times and SLAs.
• Review, sense-check, and approve estimates prior to submission, ensuring alignment with agreed margins, frameworks, and client pricing models.
Main Duties
• The Estimating Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the Estimating Team, ensuring accurate, timely, and commercially compliant quotations are produced across Fire & Security Systems.
The role manages quote requests received from engineers and directly from clients, ensuring estimating activities are delivered in line with Mitie and Marlowe processes, commercial governance, and agreed service levels. The post holder will act as the first point of escalation for estimating-related queries and will drive consistency, performance, and continuous improvement across the function.
