Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for two Estates Maintenance Workers to join our Estates team, working across the Reaseheath College and University Centre campus, as well as our Reaseheath Engineering Apprenticeships Academy down the road. You will support all areas of the campus whilst working closely with other members of the Estates team.,
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance of the premises and grounds in accordance with day-to-day operations and the scheduling of work as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Support the Estates department project team with alterations and redevelopment of the college premises to meet the requirements of the College business.
- To assist with caretaking roles for events and to cover for holidays and sickness
- To carry out grounds maintenance tasks when directed
- Testing and recording - Accurate water temperature monitoring / emergency light testing and recording to campus buildings
Have GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or willingness to work towards) - Experience of working in building maintenance, the construction environment and grounds maintenance
- Competent building / maintenance / renovation skills
- Ability to accurately take and record data
- A good awareness and understanding of health and safety legislation and adhere to safe operating procedures
- Desire to undertake continued training in the use of maintenance equipment.
- Ability to manage and work within a team, flexibly and with a "can do" attitude
- Communicate with individuals on all levels including students, colleagues and visitors
