Estates Surveyor

In this role candidates will deal with lease renewals, rent reviews, new lettings, valuations, acquisitions and disposals as well as general estate management across a wide range of property types. Candidates will also be expected to liaise closely with other services to help them deliver their objectives through property solutions.

We would welcome applications from experienced and motivated candidates who have strong communication and negotiation skills with a pragmatic solution focused approach, who are ready to work in our small commercial team of surveyors to support a wide range of estates functions.

The ideal candidate should be well organised, capable of independent work, able to manage changing priorities and resilient to the pressures of a busy and varied caseload; they will be a dynamic team member with a can-do attitude suitable for managing a diverse property portfolio.

The Council has an extensive and diverse property portfolio which includes retail, light industrial, offices, leisure and community premises, arts venues, and a shopping centre located across the City. Our portfolio generates significant income which needs to be proactively managed to enable rental and capital growth.
