Full Job Description

We're looking for someone with specialist knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering, who wants to make a genuine difference to our Estates Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. In this rewarding and entrusted position, you will need good IT skills, be responsible for assigning maintenance work and undertaking day-to-day operation of our Computer-Aided Facility Management system. The role is focussed on managing the in-house maintenance team & external contractors day to day maintenance, both PPM and reactive. You will be working with a huge range of colleagues, including clinical staff, to support them in delivering excellent patient care, so strong communication skills are essential. Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a large organisation with a huge portfolio of property, equipment, and systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on a varied role, be responsible for ensuring safe systems of work are maintained in line with HTM's

What you will bring to the role

Main duties of the job

This role provides the following services to the Trust:

- Carry out dynamic risk assessments

- Organising and rectifying reactive works

- Managing scheduled work on the K2 system

- Responsibility for ensuring safe systems of work

- Responsible for the safe maintenance, assembly, dismantling and repair of equipment others may use.

- Asset capture & review of the estate plant

- Management of the in-house workforce and contractors
