Full Job Description
The Estates multi-skilled maintenance operative has responsibility for day-to-day operational maintenance of the hospital environment at The Tameside General Hospital, including reactive and pre-planned maintenance tasks, and where required to work with specialist contractors. Significant experience working within an estate's environment, to conduct planned preventative maintenance tasks along with reactive works. Understanding of effective operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services, including engineering plant, equipment and other engineering systems including electrical systems, fire alarms and specialist healthcare equipment. Be able to work in an adaptable changing estates environment, with an ability to work solely using initiative.
