Full Job Description

Your role as a Gardener will involve attending to all garden areas on the Prestwich maintaining the site by pruning shrubs, mowing lawns, as well as looking after the equipment and structures like fencing, keeping the grounds safe and tidy (including clearing any snow and ice in the winter), and planting a range of flowers, shrubs and trees., To undertake the repair, maintenance and inspection of all external grounds and gardens associated with the Trust and its external contracts. This would include grounds and gardens planting materials and equipment in accordance with relevant legislative standards and operational procedures to ensure the external grounds of the site(s) provide a safe environment for patients, public and staff.
Be expected to produce work to a consistently high standard of work across the whole range of duties and applications required.
Shall be prepared to undertake additional training in order to fulfil the requirements of the post, satisfy new regulations/legislation or to further to develop the duties.
