Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Estates Supervisor to join the Great Ormond Street Hospital Estates team.

You will be responsible for supervising works teams in respect of the maintenance, operation, repairs, installation and PPMs. The Supervisor will ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures whilst undertaking all statutory, mandatory and general repairs.

You will manage internal staff and monitor third party contractors to ensure compliance with statutory and NHS legislation and that the service is delivered to the highest possible standard., The Estate Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Estates Officers in the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of Estates services across the Trust. The post holder will provide dayto-day operational supervision of Estates teams, ensuring planned, reactive, and minor worksare delivered efficiently, in line with statutory, HTM, and Trust requirements.

The role involves managing staff, contractors, and resources, maintaining high standards of health and safety and compliance, and delivering a customer-focused service through effective engagement with clinical teams and stakeholders to support high-quality patient care.

Further duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Support the Estates Officers in delivering a safe, compliant, and effective Estatesservice across the Trust, including but not limited to:- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)- Reactive Maintenance- Minor Works Management- Management of specialist systems

2. Demonstrate strong team management experience, providing leadership, supervision, and operational direction to Estates Operatives.

3. Ensure all Building Operatives within remit are appropriately trained and compliant with:- Health & Safety legislation- Building safety regulations- HTMs and statutory requirements
