Full Job Description
We are looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our Joint Equipment Stores team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring that equipment used by vulnerable adults across the community is safe, compliant, well maintained and available when needed. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help people remain independent in their own homes by providing high-quality maintenance, servicing, testing and repair of community equipment and assistive technology. About the Role Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and maintaining community equipment in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Carrying out equipment inspections, testing, fault diagnosis and minor repairs.
- Establishing and maintaining routine maintenance and testing programmes for equipment stock and equipment in use.
- Delivering, installing and testing equipment within service users' homes where required.
- Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records using electronic systems.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and MHRA requirements.
- Supporting the recycling and refurbishment of equipment to maximise value and sustainability.
- Acting as a knowledgeable resource on equipment performance, maintenance requirements and emerging technologies.
Are you a practical problem-solver with maintenance or repair experience? Do you enjoy working hands-on while making a genuine difference to people's lives?, Experience working in a repair, servicing, maintenance or installation environment. Literacy Level 2 qualification (or equivalent). - A full driving licence.
- Good practical and technical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and use computerised systems.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. We Would Particularly Like to Hear From Candidates With: Mechanical, engineering, maintenance or technical service experience. Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance programmes. Experience working with mobility equipment, healthcare equipment, assistive technology or similar products. A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
