Introduction
Marston Stud Equine Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation is looking for an enthusiastic Equine Apprentice to join our friendly, professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while working alongside experienced staff in a leading equine rehabilitation and hydrotherapy centre.
About the Employer
- Run by trained equine osteopath, Natasha Halliday, the centre offers a bespoke programme for every horse ensuring each horse’s individual needs receive the required attention.
The Equine hydrotherapy and rehab centre was established at Marston Stud in 2021 to provide top class care for all disciplines within the equine community.
What You'll Do
All General Yard Duties plus:
- Providing the highest standard of daily horse care, including feeding, grooming, mucking out and turning out
- Confidently handling horses before and after hydrotherapy treatments, including racehorses, competition horses
- Assisting with water treadmill and equine spa sessions under supervision
- Preparing horses for rehabilitation treatments
- Monitoring horse health and wellbeing and reporting any concerns
- Keeping the yard, stables and rehabilitation facilities clean, organised and safe
- Working closely with our experienced team while developing your practical equine knowledge
- This is a Non-Ridden Pathway

Working Arrangements
Working Week: Working 5/5.5 days per week 40/45 hours dependent on age, will include weekend work on a rota basis. (16-18-year-olds 40 hours/week). Exact working days and hours TBC.
