Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workstream Lead to play a pivotal role in the planning, development, and implementation of designated workstreams across Great Western Hospital (GWH), Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH), and Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT).
This role is central to the successful deployment of the Cerner Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. Workstream Leads will guide pathway discovery, shape future workflows, oversee configuration, and act as subject matter experts for their clinical or operational area.
Working closely with transformation leads, supplier teams, and local change partners, you will ensure that each site designs and delivers a safe, efficient, and future-ready EPR, The Workstream Lead will take ownership of the planning, development, and delivery of their designated EPR workstream across GWH, RUH, and SFT. They will guide pathway discovery to ensure current processes are fully understood, then lead the design of future workflows that reflect best practice and meet clinical and operational needs. Acting as a subject matter expert, they will oversee the configuration of the Cerner EPR system so that it supports safe, efficient, and effective care.
A key part of the role involves coordinating local change partners and working closely with the supplier and transformation teams. The Workstream Lead will bring these groups together to shape the clinical configuration for their module, ensuring that decisions are consistent, well-governed, and aligned across sites.
They will also support the development or updating of standard operating procedures so that new workflows are clearly defined and ready for implementation.
We are proud to be part of BSW Hospitals Group - a formal partnership between Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. With a combined workforce of over 17, 600 colleagues, and budget of 1.6 billion the Group is united by a common purpose to deliver the best possible care to over 1 million people.
We are creating a health and care system that works with the people we care for, reducing the differences people currently face in access, experience and outcomes, improving the experience of our colleagues and tackling shared challenges like sustainability and finances. Every improvement we make across our Group will be guided by what creates the greatest benefit for our colleagues, our patients, our communities and our partners.
