We need your knowledge and experience to help us advise water companies on their plans and hold them to account for their protection of the water environment. Responsibilities YOUR ROLE: We're looking for a Water Quality Data Analysis Officer to support local bathing water quality improvements, working closely with our Bathing Water Planning Specialist. You'll be part of the Yorkshire Area Integrated Environment Planning team, a primarily water-focused team with expertise in water quality, water resources, and river basin planning. You'll collaborate with area operational teams, national policy makers, and key stakeholders, particularly water companies, to help shape the environmental plans that guide Yorkshire's priorities. Our diverse and supportive team of advisors sits at the heart of environmental decision-making, driving integrated action to tackle complex challenges. WHAT WILL YOU DO: The role will focus on building automated processes and subsequent data analysis, that turns monitoring data into useable local scale assessment of the water quality at bathing water beaches in Yorkshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your data management expertise and develop our approach to bathing water data management. You will:
• Compile and analyse sampling results and report internally and to external stakeholders.
• Design, and undertake, a process to identify reasons for high bathing water results.
• Analyse and report on high results, trend analysis and signs of deterioration to identify priority beaches.
• Data provision internally and to support external partners.
• Analysis and presentation of data collected as part of bathing water investigations.
