Full Job Description

Are you an experienced Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner or are you about to qualify? Would you like to work in a large diverse, With one of the largest licensing schemes in London, Ealing is an interesting and unique place to work with a wide range of property types,

be joining an active, friendly and supportive team.

What you will be doing?

In this role, you will manage your own case load and undertake appropriate enforcement action to tackle disrepair and deficiencies in
residential properties, using HHSRS and relevant enforcement powers.

We are seeking highly motivated, passionate and experienced Environmental Health Officers/Practitioners to join our team. Successful
candidates will be responsible for undertaking investigations, conducting inspections and enforcing a wide range of statutory provisions aimed at protecting and improving housing standards.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced environmental health professional to make a real difference to housing improvement within the borough.

We are keen to hear from candidates who share our enthusiasm and commitment to deliver an excellent Environmental Health Service for Ealing's residents, businesses, and visitors.

The Council operates a hybrid model combining working home and from the office, taking a flexible approach to strike the right balance for officers and service delivery.

You must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage., The post holders will be highly motivated, flexible individuals, with excellent customer service skills, able to communicate with people at different levels as appropriate. You will be working with and supporting other team members with complex cases.

Benefits include flexible, hybrid working, 25 days annual leave increasing to 28 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years of continuous Local Government service.
