Full Job Description
We're seeking an Environmental Advisor to support a diverse range of projects in delivering Kier's Sustainability Framework and maintaining environmental compliance. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference across both live construction projects and our pre-construction team, helping to shape best practice and drive sustainable solutions. What will you be responsible for? As an Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in achieving sustainability goals and maintaining environmental excellence. Your day to day will include:
- Supporting tender submissions to ensure relevant environmental mitigation and sustainability innovations are incorporated into projects
- Conducting environmental inspections and audits using Kier's Novade platform, ensuring legal and system compliance
- Reviewing environmental incidents and developing learning outcomes to continuously improve our practices
- Collating and preparing sustainability information to report progress against agreed objectives and targets
- Chairing meetings with operational staff to drive the sustainability agenda and share best practice across the business
You have a genuine passion for sustainability and a drive to reduce carbon emissions and improve resource efficiency - You have experience working in an environmental or similar role, ideally within construction
- You have knowledge of construction sustainability schemes such as BREEAM, LEED or WELL
- You have experience setting, measuring and communicating environmental KPIs
- You hold a Full driving licence and are willing to travel to sites regularly
