Location: Cardiff
Pay: £13.96 per hour
Hours: Full time
Contract: Temporary until 31 March 2027
Working arrangements: Hybrid, with two days per week in the Cardiff office.

Pertemps is recruiting an Environmental Administration Assistant on behalf of a public sector organisation dedicated to protecting and improving Wales’ natural environment.

You will join the Protected Species team, providing administrative support to help maintain accurate records, manage queries and keep day-to-day activities running smoothly.

This opportunity would suit an experienced administrator or a graduate with a background in environmental science, ecology or a related subject who can demonstrate strong organisational skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Updating databases and maintaining accurate records.

  • Responding to queries and directing specialist enquiries to the appropriate colleagues.

  • Supporting procurement-related administration and queries.

  • Arranging meetings, taking minutes and recording actions.

  • Assisting with data collation and general team administration.

About you:

  • Strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, databases and other IT systems.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • An environmental or scientific background would be beneficial but is not essential.
