· Additional groups are timetabled at Key Stage 4 to reduce class size at this vital point of pupil development.

· The department has an excellent long-term track record of academic success. Despite the disruption caused by the pandemic, the English element of Progress 8 for Year 11 students was, at 0.9, significantly above national. The average grade in English Language was 5.5 and in Literature 6.0.
