Full Job Description

At Park School, we're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our growing team in the beautiful surroundings of Chipping Norton. This is an opportunity to teach in a school where relationships matter, class sizes are smaller, and you can focus on what brought you into teaching in the first place, helping young people build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve outcomes they never thought possible. You'll deliver engaging and creative English lessons that inspire a love of learning while supporting pupils to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Whether it's helping a student discover a passion for literature, develop confidence in communication, or achieve a key qualification, you'll see the direct impact of your work every day. You'll join a supportive and collaborative team that values innovation, professional development, and staff wellbeing. As our school continues to grow, you'll also have opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and help shape the future of English across the school. This is more than a teaching role. It's a chance to be part of a school where your expertise, creativity, and passion can make a lasting difference. Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive.
  • Monitor progress and support pupils to achieve their individual goals.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive excellent outcomes.
  • Support students' personal growth, confidence, and wellbeing alongside their academic achievement.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • A passion for English and a commitment to inspiring young people.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and engage learners.
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach.
  • A desire to make a genuine difference to the lives of students.
  • Experience in curriculum development or subject leadership is welcome but not essential.
