Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Team Lead to join our dynamic maintenance team at our Milton Keynes site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running, reliability and performance of our plant operations. Working Hours

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Overtime available
    • The Role As Engineering Team Lead, you'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities while providing hands-on support when needed. You'll lead a team of engineers, coordinate repairs, and ensure equipment downtime is minimised. Key duties include:
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of maintenance engineers
  • Organising daily workloads and planned maintenance schedules
  • Responding to breakdowns and ensuring quick, effective repairs
  • Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime (MTTR & MTBF)
  • Managing spare parts, suppliers, and contractor activity
  • Supporting continuous improvement and operational performance
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance

    Proven leadership experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work hands-on with machinery and plant equipment
  • Support the team proactively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND desirable)
