The Reliability Lead is responsible for driving the successful roll out and implementation of a proactive maintenance strategy at our largest Bakery site in the group. The roles aim is to enhance equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and extend asset life by shifting maintenance practices from reactive to predictive and preventive approaches. This role will lead cross-functional efforts to analyse asset performance, identify failure modes, and implement condition monitoring and data-driven maintenance practices. Through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, root cause analysis, this role ensures a sustainable, proactive maintenance culture. What you will be doing: As a Reliability Lead at The Compleat Food Group, you will develop and lead the implementation of a proactive maintenance strategy focused on reliability-centred maintenance (RCM), condition monitoring and predictive analysis; ensuring maintenance practices meet all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements. Food Safety, Quality and Integrity: The role will ensure maintenance practices meet all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements whilst promoting a safe and reliable working environment through proactive risk mitigation. Health, Safety and Environment: You will lead by example in implementing and enforcing the highest standards of health and safety across all team activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures, and promoting a safety-first culture. Financial Performance Management: You will assist in managing the team's budget by ensuring efficient use of resources, controlling costs associated with equipment downtime and repairs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational performance. Asset Care: You will use CMMS & root cause analysis data to review PPM schedule and align with business needs & asset criticality assessment. You will drive initiatives to improve asset performance and reduce maintenance costs over time. Resource Management: You will manage the Engineering Planner & Engineering Stores & Purchasing Lead to ensure that all planned work generated through the maintenance schedule is planned & completed effectively with the correct bill of materials and associated costs, whilst maintaining a healthy work order backlog. Governance: You will ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices for operational and safety standards. You will possess considerable experience in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field. You will have utilised these skills within an FMCG environment, experience within a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable You will have completed an apprenticeship to a minimum level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering fields. Further training through to HNC/ HND is also desirable. Skills and Competencies:

operations are completed on time, with minimal disruption to production.
