Full Job Description

Experteer Overview In this role you will plan and scope maintenance and outage work across electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and civil disciplines at the Huddersfield site. You will act as the bridge between engineering, operations and contractors to ensure safe, well-defined job scopes and ready-to-execute plans. You will lead the master maintenance schedule, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in planning quality to support reliability initiatives. Pay / Benefits

  • Attend job face to gather first-hand information and develop accurate job scopes across disciplines Prepare detailed work packages with sequences, resource plans, materials, isolation plans, risk assessments, and permits Maintain 3-month rolling master plan for maintenance and outages, identifying critical paths and dependencies Coordinate with Asset Engineers, Operations, Project teams and Contractors to integrate activities through execution Manage CMMS data (SAP) including work orders, equipment histories and task lists Lead weekly scheduling meetings and report on schedule adherence, critical paths, and resource utilization Liaise with stores and procurement to ensure parts and tools are available ahead of work Review job plans post-execution and contribute to reliability programmes and continuous improvement Tasks Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance planning or engineering in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or heavy process industries Experience planning across at least two of electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, civil Demonstrated experience in shutdown, turnaround, or outage planning with detailed job lists and schedules Proficient in CMMS SAP Plant Maintenance (work orders, equipment history, task lists) Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Prometheus) Familiarity with P&IDs, equipment drawings, specifications Knowledge of permit-to-work, risk assessment, and site safety procedures Experience in stakeholder management across multiple functions HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience Key requirements generous pension scheme bonus scheme private medical & life insurance up to 31.5 days annual holiday plus 8 UK bank holidays 36-hour working week diversity & inclusion emphasis
