Introduction
Gem Cable Solutions is seeking an ambitious and motivated apprentice to join our team as a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, engineering skills, and commercial awareness while working towards a nationally recognised level 4 qualification.

What You'll Do
What You'll Be Doing
As an Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprentice, you will support engineering projects from concept through to production. Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with customers to understand technical requirements and project specifications.
- Assisting with the development of bespoke electrical and cable assembly solutions.
- Producing and updating engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Supporting prototype builds, product development, and testing activities.
- Assisting with technical proposals, quotations, and project documentation.
- Creating work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and test procedures.
- Working with production teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Learning and applying industry quality standards, including AS9100 requirements.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects across the business.
Training Outcome
Successful apprentices will have the opportunity to progress into permanent engineering roles within the business, developing specialist skills and building a long-term career with a growing and innovative company.
