We're looking for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering team and ensure our production facility operates safely, efficiently and reliably. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for maintaining critical production equipment, driving continuous improvement, developing engineering talent and ensuring our operation is always audit and customer ready.   • Leading and developing a team of multi-skilled engineers
  • Ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment
  • Creating and managing preventative maintenance programmes
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and performance
  • Managing engineering budgets, KPIs and capital projects
  • Working closely with Production, Warehouse and Technical teams to minimise downtime
  • Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with site standards and RAMS
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality
  • Supporting a culture of accountability, ownership and problem-solving across the team

    Essential
  • Significant engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing, food production or automated environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and reliability engineering
  • Experience managing engineers, contractors and engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operation
    • Desirable
  • Fresh food manufacturing experience
  • Experience leading Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement projects
  • NVQ Level 3, ONC/D, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Experience managing CAPEX projects from business case to delivery
