With dedicated teaching professionals across a variety of subject areas, we are seeking a passionate and ambitious Lecturer to join our team based at our Scarborough campus. About the role As an Engineering Lecturer, you will inspire and support learners to achieve their full potential through the delivery of high-quality teaching across a range of engineering programmes and qualification levels. Working with enthusiasm and industry expertise, you will deliver engaging and relevant units that equip students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by local employers and industry. You will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Committed to maintaining high standards, you will follow all safeguarding requirements and adhere to college policies and procedures, ensuring an outstanding learning experience for every student.
For this role, we are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable engineering professional with a degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline. You will hold a recognised teaching qualification, alongside a minimum of GCSE Grade C/Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. An assessor qualification is desirable; however, support will be available for the successful candidate to achieve this if not already held. Beyond qualifications, we are seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused individual who is committed to helping learners succeed. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, employers and stakeholders. A proactive mindset, dedication to continuous professional development, and a genuine passion for engineering education will enable you to thrive in this rewarding role.
