Introduction
Mec-Com are looking to recruit an enthusiastic fitter apprentice to join their team. You will assist experienced mechanical engineers with the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.

What You'll Do
Day to day tasks will include:
- Assist in the assembly and fitting of mechanical components and machinery
- Learning to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams and assembly instructions
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment safely and accurately
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and fault-finding on mechanical equipment
- Supporting the instillation and commissioning of machinery at customer sites where required
- Ensure all work complied with health and safety regulations and company quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work closely with skilled fitters, fabricators and engineers to complete projects on time
- Record work completed and contribute to continuous improvement activities
Training Outcome
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available within the business
