Introduction
Support purchasing and stores systems, ensuring parts are available, correctly identified and stored. Assist with maintaining buildings and site services, supporting planned maintenance and compliance. Gain experience in contractor management by helping specify work, monitor activities and support maintenance projects.

What You'll Do
As an Engineering and Facilities Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and facilities professionals to support the maintenance and operation of site equipment, buildings and services.
Your day-to-day duties will include assisting with planned maintenance activities, supporting repairs and fault finding, maintaining stock and stores records, ordering and receiving spare parts, and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
You will help monitor the condition of site facilities, support compliance with health and safety requirements, and assist with contractor activities on site. The role will provide opportunities to learn about maintenance planning, asset management, purchasing systems, and engineering best practices within a manufacturing environment.
In addition, you will:
- Help ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Help maintain engineering stores and stock control systems
- Assist with the ordering, receipt and storage of parts and materials
- Support facilities maintenance and site improvement projects
- Assist with contractor supervision and permit-to-work processes
- Maintain accurate maintenance and purchasing records
- Participate in training and development activities as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production and support teams
