Full Job Description
Role: Engineering Coordinator Hours: 37.5 hrs/week Location: Stockport, SK10 2NA At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for an Engineering Coordinator who is responsible for the effective coordination, administration, and control of engineering maintenance activities across a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of all engineering activities, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance tasks, and corrective/reactive works.
- Manage the lifecycle of work orders from creation through to completion and close-out, ensuring accuracy in CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo), including labour, materials, and asset updates.
- Support compliance with UK statutory regulations (e.g. PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella), pharmaceutical regulatory standards (GMP / GxP), and ensure all documentation is completed, reviewed, approved, and stored in line with ALCOA+ data integrity standards.
- Coordinate permit-to-work processes, ensuring approvals are in place, work is scheduled safely, and high-risk activities are properly controlled in line with site safety procedures.
- Track and report on engineering KPIs (PPM compliance, reactive response times, backlog levels, data quality), while supporting stakeholder communication and continuous improvement initiatives across FM operations. Required Qualifications:
- Experience in a coordination, planning, or administrative role within hard services FM or engineering environments, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Strong working knowledge of CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo, Concept, SAP) and understanding of engineering maintenance processes (PPM, reactive, statutory compliance), permit-to-work systems, and safe systems of work. What's in it for you?
