Engineering Apprentice (Multi-Skilled)

Introduction

The Scientific Games Engineering Apprenticeship has been designed to develop the next generation of Multi-Skilled Engineers. Apprentices will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to maintain, fault-find, repair and improve complex automated manufacturing equipment

What You'll Do

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to both workplace and academic learning, successfully completing all apprenticeship requirements, coursework, assessments and examinations
• Attend Kirklees College and all training activities as required, maintaining high levels of attendance, engagement and academic performance throughout the programme
• Take ownership of personal development by actively seeking opportunities to expand technical knowledge, practical skills and engineering competence
• Work alongside experienced engineers to develop the skills required to maintain, fault-find, repair and improve complex manufacturing equipment
• Support planned preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, condition monitoring activities and breakdown response activities under appropriate supervision
• Learn and apply engineering principles across mechanical, electrical, electronic, automation, fluid power and control systems disciplines
• Develop the ability to safely use engineering tools, test equipment, technical documentation and diagnostic systems
• Maintain accurate apprenticeship records, training portfolios, maintenance documentation and progress reviews in line with programme requirements
• Demonstrate professional behaviours, including reliability, accountability, teamwork, communication, initiative and a positive attitude towards continuous learning
• Adhere to all Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Security procedures, maintaining the highest standards of safe working practices at all times
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute ideas that improve safety, reliability, quality and operational performance
