Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: Bromborough

Hours: 7am-3.30pm

Join Pilgrim's Europe and help keep our operations running at their best. We're looking for a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.


• Diagnose faults and minimise downtime across production equipment.


• Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and reliability initiatives.


• Deliver engineering projects that improve efficiency and performance.


• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.


• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance.

Essential

• Time-served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.


• NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification.


• Strong maintenance and fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment.


• Experience of safe systems of work, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

• HNC or equivalent qualification.


• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.


• Experience in food manufacturing.


• Knowledge of CMMS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.


• Condition-based monitoring experience.


• IOSH/NEBOSH, FLT or MEWP certification.
